💗 Today is Sleep Awareness Day

Isn't that interesting that this day falls on the full moon too! Lots of people find that the full moon energy disturbs their sleep.



So how is your sleep pattern, good average, poor? I ask this question to all my clients when they come for treatment. Then I ask how many hours per night.


There is such a lot that we can tell when someone says they can’t get to sleep, or they can’t stay asleep.


There are lots we can do about it. The first thing I would look at is – what time do you go to bed at. Then what are you doing in the hours leading up to your bedtime?



Winding down is a big part of getting a good night’s sleep. The media devices need to be switched off as early as 8.00 p.m. if you are having difficulty getting to sleep ~ sorry about that!


The emissions from the screen, cause the body to go into ‘stress mode’. The adrenal glands release adrenaline, along with other hormones, then the body is ‘geared up’ for action, rather than winding down for sleep.

That’s just one little thing you can do, which has a huge knock-on effect on the heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature.

If you are not getting enough sleep, then your physical body does not rejuvenate, and neither does your mental or emotional body. When vital rapid eye movement sleep is missed, the information coming in on a daily basis cannot be processed.



The other tip you can try is to meditate before you go to bed. I have lots of meditations on my YouTube channel and this one is especially for Deep Sleep, enjoy.
